September 20th 2007 - Dragon Ports inks strategic funding & key executive appointment
Mobile application service provider Dragon Ports has appointed Philip Lew an Executive Director, and received strategic funding to speed company's expansion plans.
Philip will be responsible to lead an overhaul in Dragon Ports' operations to support the company's positioning as a global leader in off shoring services to the broad spectrum of mobile applications and technologies, and joins an experienced team that encompasses expertise in mobile technologies and client services.
Philip has more than 20 years experience in the technology and IT industries and is the CEO and Founder of XBOSoft, a rising software automation testing house based out of Beijing.
Prior to founding XBOSoft, Philip was SVP & COO at Beyond Soft, a large scale Chinese software outsourcing company, with over 2000 employees. He also founded & led Pulse Technologies, a leader in contact center systems integration out of the US, which was later sold to EIS International.
"I'm delighted to have Philip on board and he adds further quality to a team that already includes heavyweights such as Stefan Rust, Richard Robinson, Karl Knoflach and Chris Rynning. By bringing in somebody from outside the mobile industry who has experience in outsourcing & QA only underlines our vision to professionalize the service offering to the mobile industry and alter companies' approach to this crucial part in the mobile value chain," said Ori Elraviv, Dragon Ports CEO.
Philip is currently an adjunct Professor and Assistant Dean at the Beihang University College of Software in Beijing, where he is also a Doctoral candidate. He received his B.S. and Master of Engineering degrees in Operations Research from Cornell University, and is also a certified PMP.
